I have read lots about brain fog as I am a serious sufferer! But to normalise how i feel just because i’m going through menopause doesn’t seem right? I forgot my own grandsons birthday! HE WAS 1! And I even ordered the food for the party?! What part of that is normal?
How do women in high positions at work cope or menopausal GPs or even surgeons? Surely there are things to do for brain fog? My doctor said its just a part of menopause and to try and get outside more.. I now take my dog on 4 walks a day and he is exhausted, i’m exhausted and I am no clearer mentally! I have dementia in the family and its a real concern despite being dismissed by my GP, hence my redirection here …
Any suggestions for a very forgetful women? (no guarantee I will remember to come back and check for responses)
Its so hard! I have been exactly the same! Just know its just menopause and nothing worse!
God knows how women in heavily skilled jobs remember anything..
Its good that you’re getting out, it can be so hard to pull yourself together at such a time. I have been taking magnesium supplement, gingko (Holland and Barrets recommended for brain) and some exercise (which you get plenty of) seemed to help me lots x
How are you doing now?
Oh I think Ive had a bad week, as not only is my insomnia back with vengence but my brain fog has settled again. I am sure mine is coupled with stress and also the time that my periods would have arrived and so I am going to do a mood diary and log the next two months feelings , sleepness nights and see if there is a pattern.
I was able to walk over the Heath yesterday and that helped clear my head ,but the flat moods are really hard to shift. I am also adjusting my AD and really want to come off them so maybe that is also a factor.. I am going to up my magnesium probably in a liquid form and keep you posted ladies..
