Last year? Mines been way longer than that! I think i’ve seen a steady gain for the past 4/5 years at least – i’m 54 now weight will just not shift! the only time I ever lose anything is when im so stressed/anxious and cant eat but the second I eat again it goes on plus more!
hi Janey, Welcome to our re developed community page.. This is one of the main concerns with women in menopause. This is becasue our metanbolism slows down and lower estrogen levels after menopause can cause fat storage to shift from the hips and thighs to the abdomen. We recommend that you lower your portion and increase an exercise class or add a small walk around the block after dinner. Walking up stairs rather then using a lift all adds up to increased exercise. I know that cutting out bread, pasta and potatoes all week and only having one at the weekend meant I lost 2 lb so it can be done but we have to work a little harder … Good luck and keep tuned into all our social media as the lovely Maxine Jones fitness expert for Lorrraine Kelly has now joined us and will be giving us great tips for the coming weeks . x
