Hey ladies! I’m 66 now and just wanted to share some wisdom! I really think exercise is such a huge element in beating a rocky menopause! I swim a few times a week and do lots of thai chi and resistance training too! I went from having a hellish few years to perfect harmony! Try it ladies! I’m not saying it will banish every tiny symptom but it will really help!
I understand it can make you feel better but exercise in my head is mostly for weight loss and physical change and no matter how much I do I just dont see a different and get so disheartened that I stop! I cannot shift my gut!
I’m carrying such a heavy stomach right now that won’t shift but I look at my older sister and my mum who were exactly the same and they’ve managed to slim down after menopause! there is hope for us yet. Don’t think of exercise as just for our outside, its way more important for our insides and heart etc and it takes weeks and weeks to see any progress so try not to give up x x
